Career progression is tackled differently in every industry, and a new poll has revealed how HR Managers attempt to take the next step in theirs.
As reported on Onrec, nearly three quarters claim they have become trapped in their job, needing to move but feeling unable to get away. Half of those surveyed claimed the reason they had become stuck was because they did not have the time to move.
More money is one of the driving factors for HR Managers to look for new work with more than a third looking for a top up on their salary.
When it comes to the job hunt, 47 percent said they had no problem writing a CV, however 24 percent complained their current CV was too long.
When asked, ‘to what extent do you feel in control of your career’, 77 percent of HR Managers said ‘somewhat’, with just 23 percent affirming that they were.
The key motivator for HR Managers was variety in their role on 58 percent, with recognition and job security second and third.
Finally, nearly three in five claimed they saw the job market as an opportunity to further their own development.
